Prosper Ventures Advises International Electric Vehicle Firm on Series A Funding for Global Expansion
Prosper Ventures has been appointed as an advisor to a fast-growing electric vehicle (EV) company that is making significant strides in expanding production and entering new markets. Known for developing one of the smallest four-wheel EVs designed to offer a car-like experience, this EV firm focuses on a modular platform adaptable for both cargo and passenger use, targeting B2B and B2C markets worldwide.
With demand exceeding current production capacity, the company’s sales have gained strong traction, underscoring the need for expanded production capabilities. India plays a central role in the company’s growth strategy, serving as a strategic hub for supply chain development, manufacturing, and as a gateway to the broader Asian market.
The company is making rapid strides in its India-centered expansion strategy, starting with the establishment of operations in the Chennai area. Supported by Indian lead investors, this new team will play a critical role in scaling production and positioning India as a central hub for ultra-light, 100kg EV manufacturing on a global scale.
In addition, a localized supply chain is under development, incorporating European expertise to create a robust network of component suppliers specifically tailored to support the production of super-light EVs in the region. Plans are also underway for a new manufacturing facility in India, which will supply lightweight EVs not only to Europe but also to other international markets, addressing the surging demand.
The company’s R&D capabilities are set to expand in India, working in tandem with the European team to advance both vehicle and IT platform innovations. This includes a focus on solar-powered EV technology, rental-based solutions, and fleet management systems designed for seamless integration and operational efficiency.
As part of its commitment to sustainable transport solutions, the company is also preparing to launch its first solar-powered EV, with a daily range of up to 50km on integrated solar panels, setting a new standard in energy-efficient urban mobility.
Looking forward, India will serve as a key distribution hub for broader Asian markets, where demand for compact, ultra-light EVs continues to grow. With strong interest and preliminary agreements in place, the company sees substantial growth potential in multiple Asian regions through this strategically positioned Indian production base.
